I had low expectations.

I’m still floating around in a daze, five days after my first ever festival vending experience. I had set a low goal: break even with the cost of the booth. The morning of the festival I was terrified and suffering from a bad case of imposter syndrome, thinking, what if nobody buys my art? What if I don’t even make enough to cover my booth expense?

I couldn’t have been more surprised when I not only broke even with the cost of the booth, but also all my other costs!

The best thing about being at that festival, though, was getting to actually interact with people! It was so amazing to see your responses to my art and how I could inspire others. It is such a different experience than sitting here writing you a letter from my quiet, solitary studio. I wanted more of it, more chances to get to meet my audience in person.

Of course, as soon as I got home after the market, I started brainstorming and researching other markets I could do this fall. And I found some!

Mark your calendars:

NOV. 16: Vintage with a View Fall Market, 10am-4pm

NOV. 30: Holiday Market at Sage Bird Cider Works, 11am-5pm

I hope you can be there! Thank you for your support and for giving me such an inspiring vending experience. It means so much.

Have a lovely fall, friends!

xo,

Noemi
